Jarreau was known as the “Acrobat of Scat,” and is best known for his biggest album Breakin’ Away (1981), the theme song of the Bruce Willis/Cybill Shepherd television series Moonlighting, and his feature in the second verse of the 1985 charity song “We Are the World.”
