February 5, 2006 – The Rolling Stones play three songs during the half-time show of Super Bowl XL in Detroit. The songs are “Start Me Up,” “Rough Justice” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” During “Start Me Up” the line “you make a dead man come” is censored.
February 5, 2015 – INXS guitarist Tim Farriss says he may never play his guitar properly again after severing his ring finger on his left hand in a boating accident. Farriss almost lost the finger in an accident with a powered anchor winch while boating on Sydney’s northern beaches on Australia Day. He undergoes two operations, including a six-hour operation to reattach his finger.

February 5, 1998 – Tim Kelly dies in a car accident in Arizona. He was 35. Kelly was the guitarist in Slaughter and was featured on six albums. His car was hit head on when an 18 wheeler truck crossed the middle line. The driver was under the influence of drugs and sentenced to three years in prison.
