May 23, 1969 – The Who release their fourth album Tommy, which is a double album and is the first album to be billed as a rock opera. It goes on to sell over two million copies in the U.S.

May 23, 2010 – Bret Michaels of Poison is announced the winner of The Celebrity Apprentice, season 9.  He wins $250,000 for his charity, the American Diabetes Association. [SEE VIDEO BELOW]
